Hello! If you’re following this blog you’ve found the official Vox Vocis blog. Vox Vocis is a hopeful band out of Alvin Texas, just an hour south of the fattest city in the world, Houston. We play progressive independent, but most importantly conceptual rock. We’re currently a 3-piece, with a honorary female vocalist joining us on some shows.
Our drummer, and the person currently typing, is Zach Burton. Rhys Thompson is our piano player, while Tim Brown is our guitarist. Every member of the band shares singing responsibilities. We’re inspired by the likes of Genesis, and Coheed and Cambria. With aspirations to ideally tour, and becoming recording artists on whatever label will have us, we do all we can to reach fans, bringing me to why we have this blog. None of us are the biggest fans of Facebook spamming the people that we were lucky enough to have like our page, but all of us are incredibly interested in the process and inner workings of a band. What they do when they aren’t playing, what inspires them, inside rehearsals and songs.
This blog is meant to be another way for fans to reach us, to hear music, but most importantly deliver to fans like ourselves a side of V.V that would not normally be seen through the medium called Facebook. So if you’re reading this, thank you for taking the time. Expect weekly updates from the band members about what’s going on, what we’re doing. I’ll be ending this week by posting a video from the latest show, and sharing some important dates.
March 15th: Riptide Surf Bar - 8 P.M - 21 and up - Galveston, Texas
June - July: the Recording of our E.P, The Anacrusis Chronicle.
The video should be up later this evening, thanks for the read!
